Our Giving Values
At City & County, giving back is at the heart of what we do. To ensure that our dollars are making the most impact in our community, our donation & sponsorship efforts are focused on three areas of giving: youth empowerment, financial education, and community wellness.
Youth Empowerment
We believe that giving back & empowering youth helps to fuel the future of our community. Whether we’re sponsoring the local high school basketball team or funding the robotics club, our donation dollars help kids get actively involved in their local community, regardless of their financial status.
Financial Education
We embrace education & empower our community to make their financial dreams a reality. We know that managing your money is more than just using a debit card. It’s learning how to use money as a tool & make money smart decisions today and for every life milestone ahead. To help improve financial literacy in our community, we proudly support financial education efforts in our community.
Community Wellness
We are committed to building a brighter future for the local communities we serve. Whether your mission is to strengthen physical or mental wellness or reduce food insecurity, City & County is proud to give back to organizations & causes who share in our vision of making our community a better place to live, work & play.
Giving Back Guidelines
City & County’s community giving program strictly exists to empower & improve our community. We believe that we can create a stronger, more resilient community by actively giving back to our community and supporting organizations & causes that share in our mission, vision, and values.
To ensure our donations are making an impact on our community, donation requests must meet the following criteria:
- Submitted by nonprofit organizations OR organizations with connection to our membership.
- Organizations or causes that operate within our field of membership. Priority consideration to organizations that serve these communities: Brooklyn Park, Eagan, Lake Elmo, Maplewood, Minnetonka, St. Paul, Shoreview, Woodbury, and General Mills exclusive branches.
- Events or sponsorships hosted by one of our legacy partners: City of Saint Paul, General Mills, and Ramsey County.
- Reflect our mission, vision, and values & fulfill a strong need in a community
- Organizations’ and events’ missions and goals must fall within one or more of core values: youth empowerment, financial education, or community wellness.
Get Started
Ready to submit your donation request? Getting started is easy. Complete & submit the online donation form at least 45 days prior to your event or sponsorship deadline. Submitting an application does not guarantee a donation. Our team will review your request & will respond within 10 business days.
Out of Scope
The following requests will not be considered:
- Events or donations affiliated with any religious or political organization or event.
- Organizations or causes that do not serve our field of membership.
- Organizations or causes that do not reflect our mission, vision, and values.
- Requests that benefit an individual person or single family’s cause.
- Requests that benefit an individual sports team within a larger, supported athletic program (with the exception of school-affiliated athletics teams).
- Examples of ineligible requests include but are not limited to: individual sponsorships for trips, school trips, benefit banquets, beauty pageants, tournaments, church fundraisers, political programs, walk-a-thons, and personal fundraisers.
- Excludes fundraisers & tournaments that benefit these groups:
- Non-profit organizations that operate in our field of membership
- Events with a community-wide giveback mission
- Credit union trade related organizations
- Existing City & County Credit Union partners
- Excludes fundraisers & tournaments that benefit these groups:

Beyond giving back through sponsorships & volunteering, City & County hosts free events for the community - including financial workshops that empower you to reach your biggest goals.
